Hi, my name is Ashley, and I am the Lead Veterinary Assistant at Dunes Veterinary Clinic in Myrtle Beach, SC. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the beach, searching for shark teeth, and making memories with my family. I share my home with five cats — Charlotte, Midnight, Waffles, Slate, and Siri.
Favorite Part of My Job
My favorite things about veterinary care include critical care, venipuncture, laboratory work, and client education. There is nothing more rewarding than empowering pet owners with the knowledge and support they need to care for their animals.
Why I Chose This Profession
I chose this profession because of my love for animals and my desire to help their owners. Being a voice for patients who cannot speak for themselves, and helping clients become the best pet parents they can be, is what drives me every day.

I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.
Professional Background
I hold certifications in Fear Free and CPR through the RECOVER initiative, which inform my approach to low-stress, compassionate patient care.
Work History
I have been working in the veterinary field since 2016, gaining experience in both emergency and critical care settings as well as general practice. I joined Dunes Veterinary Clinic in April 2023, where I serve as Lead Technician, overseeing the team and workflow to ensure every patient receives gold standard care.
